SPOILERS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
I realized that all the monkey sounds from the Upside Down were all Demigorgons- which means that they are definitely all in danger- or will be soon.
I found the vines which stretch underneath Hawkins to be very interesting- and a bit confusing because they are now connected to Will- or he feels what they feel- the shadow he was talking about was almost definitely the vines though- or the force they represent. I like how the Shadow’s fondness of the cold and hate of the warmth directly connects to the “burnings” they do at Hawkins lab- it all fits together very nicely- which makes me VERY EXCITED!
It has occurred to me how manipulative Dustin is with adults- he always knows exactly what to say… Dustin- you rule! As for Dart- the trash can creature- well… I mean- I felt bad when he hit it with the hockey stick- but… Dart is a cross-dimensional man-eating beast from the shadowy Upside Down… I can’t exactly say I don’t understand why Dustin did what he did.
Another thing that is exciting me a lot about this previous episode and Stranger Things 2 in general- is how all of the characters who we saw in their little groups in the first season actually end up working together- like Steve and Dustin- Mike, Will, Joyce and Hopper- and even Hopper and Eleven- it is nice to see the characters reacting to each other as they live in the odd and mysterious Hawkins Indiana.
But- speaking of Hopper and Eleven- Eleven just ran away from home- after a fight! That is very alarming- and how it will hurt Hop- that just seems worrisome… But Eleven did have some reason to go- and she was hurt so much as well- and I can understand why she would want to found her mom- but my family and I were discussing briefly that maybe Eleven isn’t even Jane- maybe she hasn’t found her mom yet! I don’t know- but this is a crazy show which I hope gets crazier still… Speaking of hopes- I just really want Eleven to get back with the gang- that would be awesome! I assume that will happen at some point- but it will probably be closer to the end than towards the middle… This show is great! And I’m going to go watch more with my family!
